Asa Miura / 7th Grade Counselor
Prior to becoming a part of the OMS family, I served for 17 years in the Verona Area School District, and I enjoy bringing my experience and insight to our students and families. My goals when working with students always include developing connections, helping them to navigate middle school, serviing as a sounding board when encountering challenges that inevitably arise while living in a diverse and ever-changing world, and preparing them for a successful transition into high school. Please feel free to reach out to me at any time. My background and interests include music and theater (I had a touring band prior to being a counselor), sports (currently, I am a captain for adult-league tennis and in the past I have coached soccer). I am also a husband father -- one of my children just promoted from 8th grade and will be a freshman in high school this year . . . how quickly they grow!

It is truly an honor to be working in the Oregon School District! Before becoming part of the OMS family, I worked for 22+ years with the students and staff of Madison LaFollette High School and three years at Sennett Middle School. I value time spent listening to students' academic, emotional and social concerns, helping students process challenges, supporting student/teacher/family connections and partnering with families and staff to support them. My family, which includes my husband, three children and our rescue dog, live just down the road in Evansville, but we head out to the great Wisconsin Northwoods whenever we get the chance! We like to think that the Badgers, Brewers, Packers and the Panthers benefit from all of our cheering and crazy fan attire. Add in all of the activities that our children are involved in, and it makes for quite a busy household! I strongly believe in the power of community and belonging, and it is my mission to ensure that all students feel a sense of belonging. I look forward to connecting with you!

Naomi Presley / Social Worker (7 & 8)
I am very excited about being the School Social Worker at OMS! Prior to starting in this role, I worked as a Social Worker for the Building Bridges program in Oregon. So, I am familiar with the community and could not be more grateful to transition to working with the district. I focus strongly on mental health and work hard to assure students and families feel welcome and have a sense of belonging in the school community. I love working with middle schoolers, facilitating groups, meeting with students individually and consulting with families. In my spare time I love to travel, read, play trivia and cheer on the Brewers! If I can be of assistance to you or your family, please do not hesitate to contact me.
