In this assignment, you will read an article called “A Life Hardly Less Romantic and Turbulent Than His Novels.” During your close reading of this article, you must show evidence of your interaction with the text, specifically the elements of the article that make different points about how Hugo’s background influenced his writing.  You must have 15 distinct annotations throughout the entire article which include a short note in the margins as to the reasoning behind the annotation.
