The following are guidelines regarding attendance for students at Forest Edge Elementary School.

Please call the automated attendance line at 835-4600 (press option #1) if your child will be absent or late. 

You may leave a message 24 hours a day. Please call before 7:45 a.m. for a same day absence. 

If you feel a need to speak personally to the classroom teacher, please feel free to do so, and also call the attendance line.  Please remember that if a substitute teacher is in the classroom for the day, messages are not retrieved from the voice mail.  If the attendance line is not notified of your child's absence by 8:15, the school will contact you so we can assure your child is safe.  

All children arriving after 8:00 a.m. should report to the office with their guardian to sign in. They will receive a pass to be admitted to class. Absences and tardies will be recorded by total minutes. 

Returning to School or Leaving School During the School Day:

Students who must leave school during the school day for an appointment or illness must be picked up at the Front Office. Parents must sign out their child at the office. Students returning to school during the school day must sign in with a guardian at the office before returning to class. This includes students who are late for school. They will receive a pass to be admitted to class.
