PVE Running Club

  • Open ...

Prairie View second, third, and fourth graders, it’s time to get active this winter. We will start another session of running club indoors on January 19th. We will run around the gym, as well as around the school hallways, doing fun stations for cardiovascular health. We will send weekly emails with our progress and what we have been doing.  The running club will take place on Friday mornings starting Friday, January 19th and end Friday, Febuary 23rd. Students will meet at the Prairie View Big Gym at 7:15 a.m. Other fun activities may include relay races or team games! A healthy snack is provided before going off to school at 7:55.

A flyer will be sent home with more information and a permission slip in January with all second, third, and fourth graders at Prairie View!

Parents must be able to provide transportation to school at 7:15 a.m. If you have any questions, please direct them to either Tina Jones (tajones@OregonSD.net) or Sue Amend (sma@OregonSD.net).

PVE Student Leadership Team

  • At Prairie View, fourth grade students have the opportunity to become a member of the PVE "SLT" or Student Leadership Team. The SLT members are responsible for planning, organizing, and promoting various spirit and service activities within PVE and the Oregon community. Students typically meet once a week with their teacher advisors to work on these projects. Some of the projects include school spirit days, participation in the Oregon School District Homecoming Parade, PVE's annual food drive for the Oregon Food Bank, "socktober" (a sock drive for the Dane County community), fundraisers, and so much more! As a school, there are some favorite spirit day themes and service projects that are typically repeated from year to year; however, students try to think of and plan new and different ones for each month of the school year!
